Vacation Bible School
Every year the church hosts Vacation Bible School for children ages 3 through 6 grades. Junior high and high school youth are encouraged to be a part of the school by helping with crafts, games, drama, refreshments, music, photography, and powerpoint presentations. The school is held for one week during the evening with a family event planned for the last night.
Throughout the week, children are encouraged to become involved in an outreach ministry through the nightly offerings and specific projects. During the 2010 VBS, children and their families donated aluminum cans to raise funds for the United Methodist Children's Home in Worthngton,Ohio.
Worship on Wednesdays (W.O.W.)
W.O.W. is a family/community ministy that is held September through May on Wednesday evenings. Starting at 5:30 p.m., a meal is available for anyone who wishes to enjoy a meal and fellowship. Children's activities and studies for youth and adults begin at 6:30 p.m. and end about 7:30 p.m.
During the late fall, they work on a Christmas musical to be presented in December.
Camping Can Be a Life-Changing Experience
Every summer, there are camp scholarships available for all children who wish to attend church camp. The experiences range from a day camp for first graders to a full five-day camp for upper middle-school aged children. Camp is held at Camp Union outside of Richwood in Union County. The full camping experience of dormitory housing, common meals, and faith based activities gives campers a chance to explore their spiritual questions in a fun and supportive environment.
Camp applications are available in late May for all camps which are held in June and July.
