Do your neighbors go to church?  If not, do you know why?  Their reasons are probably not the ones you would expect.  Most Americans have attended church at one time or another, but only 20% attend regularly.  The number one reason for leaving church is a life change that prompted people to stop attending worship.  Specfically, 1/3 of those formerly attending church believe they are simply too busy for church.  Another third reported that a move to a new location caused them to stay away from church.

But here's the good news -- a recent survey discovered that 62% of those not attending church are open to returning if someone just invited them.  On September 12 we will join hundreds of churches across American in celebrating "Back to Church" Sunday.  Be praying about whom you may invite.  It could be that they are waiting for you to ask them.
